May 2007 Fishing Report
Hi Guys, Ivan Jensen here again well not much to report this month with the weather blowing its heart out consistently and the moon at the end of the month made for some dismal trips early in the first quarter
The current run has eased off slightly but the fish are in the February denial mode and just won’t play the game. There’s been plenty of bait fish around as is the norm for this time of the year which is not helping as the fish have plenty of variety to choose from.
Well enough of the doom how about a bit of gloom.
Wreck fishing is proving the only savoir while we are getting these south easterlies with a few nice snapper, grass sweetlip and still the odd scarlet thrown in.
Well that’s it for me for another month as this goes out, there is a large tropical low forming in the Coral Sea which might bring some much needed rain to the south east, fingers crossed. Better fishing next month “so go on get out there”
UNREEL TIP FOR THE MONTH !
When fishing bommies or wrecks always anchor well in front of the structure and fish in front of it not on top of it, you will find a better quality of fish coming aboard.
